We Tried Them! Sesame Coconut Cookies

Sesame Cookies by IsabelleBy Isabelle Sanderson, New York City 5th grader

When my mom and I first made the Sesame and Coconut Cookies on page 266 of The Pescetarian Plan we didn’t have the baking soda. We found out that if you substitute baking powder (triple the amount of baking soda needed) you get close to same results. Sadly the cookie didn’t hold together very well, but still tasted good.

A few days later we tried the recipe again. The new cookie was firm and held together. The taste didn’t really change but the appearance and texture did.
